Lounge Access Conditions
Thai Airways International provides airport lounge services to travelers in premium classes,not only at THAI lounge, but also Star member carriers’lounge or contract lounge around the world. The lounge access policies are as follows
THAI Royal First Class travelers and one guest flying with any Star Alliance member
THAI Royal Orchid Platinum status members and one guest who both fly on a TG flight only.
Star Alliance First Class travelers and one guest flying with any Star Alliance member
Contracted customer airlines or contracted non-airlines (subject toagreement conditions)
(1) THAI Lounge
Royal First Lounge:
THAI Royal First Class travelers and one guest flying with any Star Alliance member
THAI Royal Orchid Platinum status members and one guest who both fly on a TG flight only.
Star Alliance First Class travelers and one guest flying with any Star Alliance member
Contracted customer airlines or contracted non-airlines (subject toagreement conditions)
Royal Silk Lounge and Royal Orchid Lounge:
THAI Royal Silk Class travelers
THAI Royal Orchid Platinum and Gold members with one guest flying with any Star Alliance member
Star Alliance Gold status cardholders with one guest flying with any Star Alliance member.
Star Alliance Gold status cardholders with one guest flying with a Star Connecting partner.
Star Alliance Paid Lounge membership cards (Air Canada Maple Leaf Club – Worldwide and United Airlines United Club ) with one guest flying with any Star Alliance member
Contracted customer airlines or contracted non-airlines (subject agreement conditions)
Royal Orchid Spa (Suvarnabhumi Airport Bangkok):
THAI Royal First and Royal Silk Class passengers departing from Suvarnbhumi Airport
(2) Star Alliance Member Carrier Owned Lounge and Star Alliance branded lounge worldwide
These lounge display the “Star Gold” logo at the entrance.
Royal First Class travel requirements:
Present a boarding pass for international travel in Royal First Class on a THAI flight.
Depart from a local airport in international Royal First Class.
Are eligible to bring one guest flying with any Star Alliance member.
Royal Silk Class travel requirements:
Present a boarding pass for international travel in Royal Silk Class on a THAI flight
Depart from a local airport in international Royal Silk Class.
Are eligible to one bring guest only if THAI Royal Silk Class travelers are Star Alliance Gold status cardholders.
THAI Royal Orchid Plus Platinum and Gold status card travel requirements:
Present a boarding pass for travel in Economy Class with THAI.
Are eligible to bring one guest who is also flying with any Star Alliance member.
Exceptions:
Lufthansa Senator Lounge at certain airports will accept Star Alliance First Class travelers and Star Alliance Gold status cardholders only. Business Class travelers without Star Gold status cards may only access Lufthansa Business Class Lounge.
United Airlines Domestic Lounge will not accept any domestic First Class or Business Class travelers unless holding a valid Star Gold status card.
(3) Contract Lounge (Third Party Lounge)
Lounge which are not owned by THAI or any Star Alliance members.
Royal First Class and Royal Silk Class travelers:
International and domestic Royal First Class travelers are entitled to bring one guest. Guest must be departing on the same THAI flight as the eligible Royal First Class traveler.
Royal Silk Class travelers are not eligible to bring a guest, unless they are a Star Alliance Gold status cardholder.
Royal Orchid Platinum and Gold status travelers:
Travel in Economy Class with THAI.
Entitled to bring one guest who is also departing on a THAI flight.
Star Alliance Gold status cardholders
Travel in Economy Class with THAI.
Entitled to bring one guest who is also departing on a THAI flight.
Star Alliance Paid Lounge Membership cards:
They are not entitled to use any contract lounge.
(4) Royal Orchid Plus Platinum status Lounge Access:
Suvarnabhumi Airport Airport:
Royal Orchid Plus Platinum status members are entitled to access The Royal First Class Lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport with one accompanying guest when departing on an international THAI flight, regardless of the ticketed class of service.
Lounge abroad where available:
– THAI Royal First Class Loungedeparting on an international THAI flight
– THAI Royal Silk Class Loungedeparting on any Star Alliance flights
– Star Alliance Lounge displaying the Star Alliance Gold symboldeparting on any Star Alliance flights
Definitions:
A boarding pass for a Star Alliance flight is a document issued upon check-in that allows the traveler to board a flight operated by a Star Alliance member.
A person over the age of two (2) accompanying an eligible traveler to the lounge in accordance with the Guest Entitlement Policy and who also meets the relevant eligible guest criteria
An infant is defined by IATA as a child under two (2) years of age.
Star Alliance flights are those flights operated by a Star Alliance member.
Connecting Partner flights are flights operated under the two letter code of a Connecting Partner.
