e-Invoice Implementation in Compliance with Malaysian Tax Authority
The Malaysian Government has announced the phased implementation of e-Invoice starting 1 January 2025. This initiative by the Inland Revenue Board Malaysia (IRBM) digitalizes the business invoicing process and ensures compliance with standardized tax regulations.

Important Information:
- The e-Invoice is for compliance purposes only and is subject to validation by IRBM.
- It cannot be reissued or modified once submitted for validation.
- You can continue to claim tax deductions or personal tax relief with existing documentation until legislation is amended, as per IRBM’s FAQs (Updated 19 July 2024).
Travel Documentation :
- The e-Invoice is not required for check-in. Use your e-ticket for travel details and boarding.
For Travel Agent Bookings :
- Passengers who purchase tickets through travel agents should contact their agents for e-Invoice requests.
