THAI’s Premium Economy Class, provides an enhanced dimension in passenger choice over the airline’s longest routes.
In the magnificent new THAI A340-500 jetliners, a segregated cabin offers just 42 Premium Economy Class seats. In this exclusive area, with its contemporary decor, subtle ambient ‘mood’ lighting and generous sense of space, travellers can relax in larger seats which are 19 inches wide, with 42 inches of stretch-out space and 122 degrees of recline, plus wider arm rests and fingertip-controlled leg rests. An in-seat power point is provided for laptop use and the large screen interactive Audio Visual On Demand system offers literally hundreds of entertainment, information and gaming options.
As an additional incentive, members of the THAI Royal Orchid Plus frequent flyer programme earn extra miles whenever they upgrade to Premium Economy Class.

In-flight Entertainment
Dramatic progress has been made over recent years in the development of new systems for in-flight entertainment, giving passengers much greater choice and variety to occupy their time during a flight, a welcome benefit, especially, on long distance routes.
THAI has taken advantage of the very latest technological advances in this field to install a state-of-the-art Audio-Visual On-Demand in-flight entertainment system on its newest jetliners and retrofit the new system on many of its jetliners in its existing fleet*.
The new THAI interactive AVOD system offers literally hundreds of options. With larger screens and touch-control commands, passengers can choose between many of the latest multi-lingual hit movies, classic oldies and popular TV programmes. There are news, travel destination and information channels, music from jazz to classical, Asian to Western, to please every taste, plus interactive games and kids cartoons. Passengers can learn the basics of a new language and even practice meditation with the new AVOD system.
To assist passengers in making their selection among the hundreds of options available, THAI offers “Vision”, a comprehensive printed guide, on board. The choice is endless, the pleasure unlimited – just another example of the THAI desire to make every flight more rewarding for everyone.

In-flight Cuisine
The quality of meals and the full complimentary bar and refreshments served to THAI Premium Economy surpass those offered in the business classes of many competing airlines. With THAI, hospitality is always lavish, and service always friendly and personal.
Special care and attention is devoted to the creation and presentation of varied menus. For in-flight meal plans on international flights there is always a choice of main course, usually with the tempting alternative of Asian or western dishes. In addition, if passengers have particular religious, health, or dietary preferences, they may order special meals in advance from the wide selection available from the THAI flight catering service. The service of wines, spirits, beers and a full selection of soft drinks is always available, and complimentary.

Amenities
In addition to all the standard items offered for their comfort and refreshment, THAI Economy Class toilets are supplied with fragrant toilet water while eye shades and ear plugs are also available on request.
