THAI Resumes Normal Flight Operations on Bangkok-Denpasar Route

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) resumed normal flight operations between Bangkok and Denpasar in Bali, Indonesia.

The Denpasar International Airport was closed since 27 November 2017 due to volcanic ash clouds in the air space and ground vicinity as a result of the eruption of the Mount Agung volcano on Bali Island. For safety reasons all airlines, including THAI, had to cease flight operations. Following the announcement of the opening of Denpasar International Airport today, THAI will resume its normal flight operations starting from 30 November 2017 onwards with flight TG431 Bangkok-Denpasar, departing from Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 08.50 hrs., and arriving at Denpasar International Airport at 14.15 hrs. (local time), and TG432 Denpasar - Bangkok, departing from Denpasar International Airport at 16.10 hrs. (local time) and arriving at Suvarnabhumi International Airport at 19.25 hrs. And today THAI utilized a 348-seat Boeing 777-300ER aircraft for the operations on the Bangkok-Denpasar route to transport stranded passengers back to Thailand. However, THAI will closely monitor and assess the situation in order to ensure the highest level of safety, said Flight Lieutenant Pratana Patanasiri, THAI Vice President, Aviation Safety, Security & Standards Department.

THAI passengers holding roundtrip tickets between Bangkok and Denpasar during 27 November to 10 December 2017, and wishing to change their travel dates, can also contact THAI call center or travel agents. Fees and charges will be exempted.
